I’m RJ Dowell, an AI Automation Engineer. In my current role I build automation, reporting, and integrations used by finance, recruiting, and operations teams.
This site collects some of that work, written up with employer details removed, along with a few things I build on my own time.

Invoice automation
Creates accounting invoices from approved timesheets and contract terms, and blocks duplicates when the same event arrives twice.
CRM note structuring
Uses an LLM to pull structured fields and follow-ups out of free-form CRM notes, then appends a summary without editing the original.
Provider contact verification
Finds provider contact details, verifies them by phone within calling windows and spend caps, and hands confirmed records to the CRM.
Calling performance dashboard
Combines two calling systems into one team view and scheduled daily and weekly summaries, showing talk time as a range when exact timing isn’t available.
Operational chat
A chat assistant that answers leadership’s operational questions from curated data snapshots, using defined business terms.
Content operations & handoff
Took over existing blog, newsletter, and video workflows, restructured the queue and templates, and made them easier to run and hand off.

I started in technical training and enablement, moved into enterprise communications platforms, including leading a platform migration, and now build operational software and AI workflows. The thread is the same: understand how people actually do the work, then make the next step easier.
