Vitals

Exploring a calmer way to understand personal wellness information.

The question

How can a dashboard help someone understand what matters today without burying them in charts and disconnected numbers?

What I built

A personal product prototype with a daily summary, selected signals, goals, trend views, and a contextual “Ask” entry point. The demo has three fictional personas, so anyone can explore it without uploading health information.

It’s built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Supabase, with a responsive layout, useful empty states, and a clear separation between demo content and signed-in accounts.

Vitals Labs view in demo mode: a sample lab report summary, a vitamin D trend chart, and a biomarker table with educational ranges
Labs view with sample reports, also synthetic. Captured October 14, 2026.

What’s real and what’s simulated

The deployed prototype includes the dashboard and the demo experience. Demo lab values and AI responses are simulated, and real lab-report ingestion was still in development as of October 15, 2026.

It’s a software design experiment, not medical advice or a clinical service.

What I’m learning

A convincing demo should be clear about its boundaries. Contextual entry points, readable summaries, and useful empty states matter as much as the length of the feature list.
